Lapsang Souchon Falcon is from the lower hills of the Wuyi Mountain range of Fujian Province in Eastern China. This fantastic tea grows in soil which naturally gives the leaf a light tarry character, this is enhanced further by firing the tea over wood chippings.
Contrary to most perceptions of Lapsang, it is the teas with the most subtle of smoky characters, like this one, that are the most sought after.
This tea has a very black neat leaf and wonderfully smooth Smoky character. Works extremely well as an accompaniment to chocolate cake, or whisky and a cigar – Winston Churchill’s choice.
Brew with freshly drawn boiled water for 3-5 minutes. Serve with or without milk.
