Yerba Mate is Brazil’s national beverage, known as the Drink of the Gods. It is made from shade-grown leaves of the Amazonian rain forest holly tree. Its leaf packs a powerful of dose caffeine similar to a cup of coffee, yet has the health benefits of true tea and more.
This is a con palo blend (with stems), a little lighter as the stems serve to dilute the blend, leading to a slower release of flavour, suiting the milder flavour of Tereré, which is often blended with other herbs, juices and sugar. Preferred in Argentina and Paraguay. Naturally caffeinated.

Brew with freshly drawn water just off the boil for 4-6 minutes. Without milk or with as a Mate Latte.
