Formosa Lapsang Leaf
This is a Taiwanese black leaf with a full smokey character. It combines the earthy characteristics of Formosa’s Oolongs with the pinewood aromas of Fujian Lapsang Souchongs.
High quality leaves are used in this Formosa Lapsang, which are withered over pine and oak fires. Next, the leaves are pan fried and rolled by hand. After fermenting, the leaves are rolled for a second time and hung to dry over burning pine fires.
The flavour is of smoky pine and oak fires and the production processes make Formosa Lapsang one of the world’s finest teas. It can be enjoyed with or without milk.
